New Glasses Care + Fit Checklist: Keep Your Investment Looking (and Feeling) Perfect

You just walked out with frames you love. Now what?

Most people don't realize new glasses need a break-in period—and proper care from day one. Here's your no-BS guide to making sure your investment lasts.

First 48 Hours: The Fit Check

Your glasses should feel secure but not tight. Red flags:

  • Sliding down your nose constantly

  • Pressure on your temples or behind your ears

  • Headaches after 20+ minutes of wear

  • Frames sitting crooked on your face

Don't tough it out. Come back for a free adjustment. We'd rather tweak the fit now than have you avoid wearing them.

Daily Care That Actually Works

DO:

  • Use microfiber cloths (keep one in your car, bag, and desk)

  • Rinse with lukewarm water before wiping

  • Store in a hard case—always

  • Get professional cleanings every 3 months (free here)

DON'T:

  • Use your shirt or tissues (they scratch)

  • Use paper towels—except Bounty. It's the only brand we've tested that won't scratch coatings.

  • Leave them on your dashboard or in hot cars

  • Use household cleaners or vinegar

  • Put them face-down on any surface

When to Come Back

  • Loose screws (we tighten for free)

  • Nose pads feeling grimy

  • Frames feel off after a week

  • Annual adjustments (faces change, frames shift)

Bottom Line

Good glasses aren't disposable. Treat them right and they'll outlast the trend cycle—and keep your vision crystal clear.
